Destiny comes in many forms

“One’s destiny lies not in the past nor the future…”

Alexander the Great had his destiny, and the world remembers it thousands of years later.  There are also personal destinies each of us has, often quietly done and known only to ourselves.  These can be quite remarkable when revealed to the wider world.

There’s a beautiful song from the Naruto anime series: “Sadness and Sorrow.”  I stumbled across a YouTube video of Fernando Neves playing this song on a traditional Japanese instrument, the koto.  He does not appear to be Japanese, and yet it struck me that this person’s destiny led him to this place and time to play this song.  It looks as if he’s playing in a shopping mall in Japan.  Quite a confluence of events to say the least.
