Yes. If she has the courage.
Nikki Hiltz is a talented American female runner who qualified to run the 1500 meters at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She “identifies” as a transgender nonbinary lesbian who wants they/them pronouns used in reference to her. Though somewhat masculine in appearance, she claims not to be taking any exogenous testosterone. Testosterone is a performance-enhancing drug and taking it would disqualify her from Olympic competition.
In a world gone mad, people are terrified to speak the truth regarding Ms. Hiltz: There is no such thing as a nonbinary person, she is a woman, and it is really dumb to use they/them pronouns in reference to a single person whose gender is known. Instead, many in the media laud her for being a transgender runner competing at the highest level. The they/them pronouns are dutifully used in reference to her, which makes articles written about her read with a cringey discordance.
Because of media cowardice in referring to her as transgender and competing in a women’s race, people who don’t follow Track and Field jump to the wrong conclusion that she is a male competing unfairly in a women’s event, but this is not the case. Unlike the many well-publicized stories where a male is indeed unfairly competing against women, and often allowed access to women showers and dressing facilities as well, Ms. Hiltz is in the correct event and as far as we know is not taking any performance-enhancing drugs. High-level athletes are regularly drug-tested, so this would come out if true, though you can bet the trans-activists would scream bloody murder that to penalize a female taking testosterone is transphobic.
Here’s how Nikki Hiltz can save the world:
- She can accept that she is a woman with a unique personality, just like each of ours is unique. Her personality is perhaps considered “quirky” in the context of society at large, but that is okay.
- Stop the nonbinary nonsense. There is no such thing as a nonbinary person. Admit that you are a female who is more comfortable with a persona that we might not typically associate with a heterosexual female.
- Stop the pronoun nonsense and tell the world that you are a believer in freedom of speech and that the speaker decides which pronouns to use when referring to someone else.
- Tell journalists that you are okay with the use of she/her pronouns and that using they/them pronouns is unnecessarily confusing. Most importantly, tell the world that you do not want any repercussions for those who use she/her pronouns in reference to you.
People can generally accept the quirky among us, those who march to the beat of a different drummer, so to speak. But when the quirky are used as a weapon by those who would lord over us, and we are forced to use inaccurate language and parrot patent falsehoods, that is fascism—transfascism in this case—and this creates a miserable world for everyone, including the fascist.
Do not believe the lie that this is an issue of respect and politeness for the “transperson.” The transfascists and their enablers demand compliance (or at the very least, complicity), and they intend serious consequences for those who do not obey.
